Axe Head Limited Edition 500 pcs - Brand new magnificent art glass sculpture on a stand of granit designed, signed and handmade by Bertil Vallien and by the masters at Kosta Boda glassworks. Height: 175 mm or 7 inches. A small pre-prepared glass head inserted at casting gives further dimensions to the petrified, or glased-in being. The back of the head (cut) in the form of an axe, enhances the powerful movement of the sculpture. The predominant effect of the polishing or cutting, however, is to refract the light, whereby the encapsulated face takes on a myriad different reflections - evoking a sense of magic.
